This spy phone scam was recently reported on Symantec's blog, and again in their August 2009, 'State of Spam' report.

The spy phone product being advertised is called the 'MMS Phone Interceptor' and it promises all the standard spy phone features such as GPS tracking, intercepting text messages, etc.. but it goes one step further and also promises the ability to remotely install the spy phone software by sending a special MMS message to the target phone. Since remote installation is probably the #1 requested feature by people buying spy phone software, lots of people are jumping at the chance to buy this software.

Unfortunately, its a scam and people are falling victim to it, so be careful!
