    Default iPhone detection/removal

our company issued iPhones and have upgraded each time for us all. My question is: since they are all locked phones, can their be spyware on them?
The IT guy activated them then handed them out.

    Thank you

**I connected mine to iTunes and restored it and upgraded to newer firmware; would that wipe anything on there that should not be on there?

    Thanks again

New firmware does a proper zap of everything on the phone - the problem is that the update process also restores whatever is on it. Your best bet is the iPhone Configuration Utility which you can download from Apple - it shows *all* Apps, not just those you installed via the App Store. It's used for development. Another hint could be that you have a number of deployment profiles ("Profiles" in general settings). One is OK, more is interesting.

Last but not least - if you're worried about the company listening in, only use the phone for company business.

    Default iphone detection

I am wondering how to tell if there is spy software on my Iphone. I suspect there is and want to remove it for my safety. I believe my former boyfriend is using my phone to stalk me.

    Mar77,

If your iPhone is locked, then your iPhone should be clear of any spyware.. all the iphone spy apps you see advertised require that the iPhone be jailbroken.. However, the good ones will hide that they have been jailbroken by removing all the icons that appear once you jailbreak an iPhone.. they will even turn on your location settings even though you turn them off..

The best way to ensure that you do not have any iPhone spyware on your iPhone, is to upgrade to the lastest OS.. As of the time of this writing, there is absolutely no company out there that has iPhone spyware which support iOS4..

If your iPhone is locked, and you've upgraded to the latest OS.. then I would turn off your location settings (settings > general > location services)..the reason being that someone such as your bf, could have installed Apple's 'Find My Iphone' app on your phone.. its used as a way to locate a lost or stolen iPhone, but it can also enable someone to secretly track you.

    hope this helps.

    thecoachman,

As of right now, none of the spy apps support iOS4, so if you have the latest firmware on there, then you should be ok..

Default My I Phone 4 is definitely bugged

I know my i phone 4 is bugged because my evil ex wife just played back a phone conversation to my new wife of a conversation that my son and I had. She actually recorded the conversation, deleted, cut and pasted the words to make the conversation appear to say something completely different than what was actually said. This physco evil bitch is a wanna be PI and has been terrorizing my wife and I for three years. I can't seem to stop her and law enforcement can't or won't do anything. I could really use some good advice to put her and her other wanna be PI buddies in jail where they belong. Any and all solutions will be considered.

    Default can't update software

I have reason to believe there's spyware on my iPhone. I have heard weird noises (beeps like someone is calling in) and got a hefty phone bill last month for all these text messages.

Furthermore, I cannot update my iPhone software. I get this message saying iPhone cannot be synced error code 13019.
